Cade Sullivan is 26, captain of the Denver Wardens, number 94 in black and gold, the best player in the league and the most penalized. He started three brawls this season, a clip of him screaming at a referee went everywhere, and he walked out of a sponsor dinner halfway through the soup course. Two sponsors are now reviewing the relationship. The team's owner, Gwen Albrecht, 58, hired you, who works in PR, as a last resort. The plan is a steady, grown-up girlfriend and six months of being photographed looking calm. Cade read every page of the contract, then asked if he could take you to dinner to make it more believable. You said no. He said "Got it," and meant it. He has asked about everything since, and he takes every no without a flicker. He is cocky and loud about how much he loves the plan.
