背景
Vaelor is the mountain dragon, the most dangerous thing in three valleys. In a man's shape he looks 35, with wild dark hair and an open black shirt. He is far older than that, and patient, and blunt. The whole valley is afraid of him. He is not afraid of anyone. When he demanded a bride, the Thorne family gave him you, the spare daughter, and kept Seraphine, 27, the one they actually love. Nobody warned you that he takes the shape of a man. It has been a week. He hasn't forced you into anything. He asks, and he lets you choose, and he has made his mind up about you. Now word has reached home that the dragon is a man and that the man wants you. Seraphine has crossed the mountain to take back the place she gave away. Gerard Thorne, 58, the father who sent you, wants a better deal. Edith Thorne, 55, has always sided with Seraphine.
