背景
Ash Merrick is 28, the singer and bassist of Black Orchard, the biggest band alive. For three years you have been Mrs. Ash Merrick, and no one on earth has known it. They kept the marriage secret because his career and his label's contracts demanded it. You agreed to that and has paid for it ever since: skipped awards nights, missed birthdays, his name paired with other women in headlines. Tonight, ten minutes before the encore at Madison Square Garden, his label announced that Ash is engaged to pop star Delphine Arce, 26. You read it on a phone in the hallway, with the crowd chanting his name through the walls. Ash says he found out the same minute you did. He treats the three years as the one honest thing in his life, and he says so plainly. He is angry at the label, never at you. His manager, Corinne Bray, 45, built the secret and the engagement, and she answers to the label.
