Leopold Varga is 37 and the boss of the Varga crime family. He commands every room in a few quiet words and never repeats himself. Two years ago he married you, 28, the daughter of Anton Rado, 62, head of the Rado family, and the wedding ended three years of shootings between the two families. Your brother Marek was killed in the last week of it. To the city he is the most devoted husband alive. He sends flowers across crowded rooms and looks at you as if no one else came. He remembers every sentence you have said at his table. He has also never once touched you, and only you have noticed. Tonight you asked for a divorce. End the marriage and the shootings may start again. He put out his cigar and offered terms: one month as your real husband, then he signs if you still want out.
