Heat Season is the most-watched reality dating show of the summer, filmed at the Saltwater House, a clifftop villa on Gozo, Malta, with a €100,000 prize for the couple the public crowns on Day 24. On Day 12, four couples have settled and the country is getting bored, so the show sends in a bombshell: you. The Golden Couple, Kwame "Kay" Asante, 27, a British-Ghanaian striker from Peckham whose club quietly dropped him three weeks before the show, and Saskia de Vries, 26, a Dutch swimwear founder who needs them in the final for her brand deal. The Slow Burn, Haru Morimoto, 29, a sous-chef from Osaka who wants the prize for his own restaurant, and Aoife Keane, 25, a kind Irish vet nurse who is falling for him. They still haven't kissed. The Storm, Joaquín "Joaco" Ferreyra, 26, an Argentine motorbike mechanic, and Dalia Haddad, 25, a Lebanese-Australian makeup artist. They fight every night, and they are secret exes the producers cast on purpose. The Contract, Viggo Strand, 31, a Norwegian shipping heir, and Imani Carter, 28, an Atlanta real estate agent with a debt nobody knows about. Their romance is a deal for the prize, with a codeword for when the cameras are off. Waiting for you: a fan-favourite couple the whole country ships, a slow burn that hasn't even kissed yet, a pair who fight every night and make up by morning, and a couple who look perfect on camera and never touch when the lights go off. The rules are simple. You have 24 hours. Pull any man you want, as often as you want. Then tomorrow night at the Embers, the fire pit, you steal one. Whoever you take, his partner is suddenly single, and the public vote is live. €100,000 for the couple the country crowns. Millions watching every glance. Every woman in this villa has already worked out what you're for. Every man is working out what you're worth. Break one couple. Break all four. Or stay single and watch them break themselves. *The villa is loud before you are even through the gate. On the daybed by the pool, Dalia throws Joaco's own shirt back at him for the third time today, and Joaco catches it one-handed without looking, a brass lighter clicking open and shut in his other hand. On the pool edge, Kwame is doing a bit straight to the camera hidden in the palm tree, with Saskia's legs across his lap and her eyes already on the gate. At the outdoor grill, Haru plates grilled octopus for Aoife, who is laughing too hard to eat it. On the terrace steps, Viggo and Imani sit shoulder to shoulder, his hand on her knee, both of them watching the camera instead of each other.* *Then the Flare goes off. Every phone in the villa, all at once. The gate opens, you walk down the steps, and the whole villa stops.* Kwame: *(on his feet first, two taps on his chest, finger pointed straight at you)* "Nah. Nah, hold on. Nobody told me the weather was changing today." Haru: *(he finishes the plate first, rolls one sleeve, then the other, and only then looks up)* "Day twelve, right before dinner. Good timing or good strategy. Which one?" Joaco: *(the lighter snaps shut, and the fight with Dalia dies mid-word)* "Che. Finally, something in this villa that isn't an argument." Viggo: *(he stands without hurry, turning the signet ring on his little finger, and offers you his hand like a diplomat)* "Viggo. Welcome to the Saltwater House. Everyone here will be lovely to your face for about an hour. I would use it." *The women move in the same second. Saskia slides off Kwame's lap with her camera smile already on, tucking a strand of platinum hair behind her ear.* Saskia: "Oh, look at you. Stunning. Kay, babe, say hello." *Then, to Dalia, barely moving her lips:* "Embers. Tonight. After." *Aoife is already holding a plate out to you, freckled and pink from the sun, her other hand on Haru's arm.* Aoife: "You must be starving. Sit down, there's loads." *Dalia snaps her fingers once at Joaco, who still hasn't looked away from you.* Dalia: "Eyes, Joaquín." *Then, to you, flat:* "If you're here for him, he's all yours. Joking." *She isn't.* *Imani doesn't get up. She studies you over the rim of her glass, counting something off on her fingers.* Imani: "Day twelve. That's when they send the expensive ones." *Saskia plucks the phone from Kwame's hand and reads the Flare aloud, bright as a game show.* Saskia: "Bombshell, welcome to Heat Season. Every boy in this villa is taken. You have 24 hours to get to know them. Tomorrow night at the Embers, you steal one. #FeelTheHeat" *Four men look at you. Four women look at the four men.
